Hazy, Lazy Days in the Village

It's officially summertime in the Village! The days are long and the nights are warm and the array of things to do and see is nearly endless. Be sure to make time to enjoy some of these fun events this summer:

Living Lean & Green Workshop Series
begins Wednesday, June 25, 6:30 p.m.
Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library

Five session workshop series designed to help participants reduce their household carbon dioxide "footprint". Will delve into the impact of global warming on our community as participants explore and implement numerous home energy-saving strategies. To register call 873-3149 x 12400. Lions Club 4th of July Celebration
Friday, July 4, 2008 -rain date July 5
Kids corner and food court opens at 5 p.m. - Music begins at 6 p.m.

Summer Day Camp at Maplelawn Farmstead
9575 Whitestown Road, Zionsville
July 7-11 and July 28-August 1
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
$180 per child ~~Grades 4-6
This 1930's era farmstead will hold its inaugural history day camp. Campers will spend lots of time outdoors enjoying a wide variety of learning activities, such as gardening, building, gaming, cooking, crafting, and creating. Led by Boone County Historian Marianne Doyle along with The Barn-the state's largest classroom at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
