The meeting was called to order by the President, John Tousley, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Minutes: The minutes from February were approved as read.

Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer was absent. Dues were submitted by residents.

Webmaster: Ted reported there has been an extensive increase in the number of visits to the VRA website.

The President made several announcements about upcoming events.

Program: The President introduced the speaker, Mike Shaffer, who currently serves as

Zionsville Community Schools’ Chief Financial Officer.

Three handouts were provided to those in attendance. One was a response from Scott Robinson, Superintendent of Zionsville Community Schools, one was a set of questions posed to Mr. Shaffer prior to the meeting and Mr. Shaffer’s responses to those questions, and one was a copy of Mr. Shaffer’s Power Point presentation.

Mr. Shaffer gave an informative, detailed presentation as to the financial status of Zionsville Community schools now, and as projected by the new tax structure. He also provided his projection of how the new tax laws would affect the "average" Zionsville resident.

Several questions were posed to Mr. Shaffer during and after his presentation. He provided informative answers.

The meeting was adjourned by the President at approximately 9:10 p.m.
