Fall is around the corner, and the leaves are already starting to change! I’m not
sure how colorful things will be this fall due to the very dry summer, but we will
hope for some rain and a beautiful leaf canopy in the Village!

As I mentioned in last month’s letter, we are going to be featuring two local
businesses at the October meeting. Zionsville Olive Oil, and The Bakers House will
be discussing their businesses, why they chose Zionsville, and how they promote
their products. In addition, they will be providing samples of their delicious
products at our members only reception prior to the meeting! You do not want to
miss this!!!

The mayor will also be joining us to discuss the 2026 Zionsville budget and the
impact of the property tax bill passed this year.

I will be discussing the data provided to us by the police department regarding
speeding in the Village and solicit input on what could be done in addition to the
efforts already underway.

The Zionsville Picnic on the Bricks hosted by the VRA was a success despite
concerns about the weather cooperating. The evening turned out to be beautiful
and many residents came to enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, and a variety of side
dishes and desserts prepared by residents. If you were not able to attend this
year, please try and make it next year. The more attendance the more fun all of us
will have!

Please don’t forget the Zionsville Ghost Walk put on by the SullivanMunce
Cultural Center. This is the 23 rd edition of the walk and its better than ever!! The
dates are October 3rd & 4 th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Go to the SMCC website:
(sullivanmunce.org) for more details or call for ticket purchases: 317 873-4900.

The next VRA meeting will be held on October 21st at the SullivanMunce. The
wine and cheese reception will start at 6:15 and last until 7:00 when the official
meeting will begin. If you have not yet paid your dues, you may do so at the
reception. We will have a check-in table with name tags as you enter.

As always if you have any items, you would specifically like to see addressed in
our meetings, please let me know.

Regards,
Mark
