Kathy Scales-Brown has been working hard on the VRA Christmas Progressive dinner and I know that she and all the Volunteers are working hard to make it another fantastic Village evening. It is great to see so many people take part in such a rich neighborhood tradition. On behalf of the entire board, we are very excited to see you there.
Please assist me in welcoming the following new members to the VRA
Phil and Sara Martini
Brad and Kathryn Gibson
Tom and Kathy Price
Wade and Carol Mullet
Stewart and Suzanne Worrel
Vicki Townsend
Alex and Jennifer Choi
Tristan and Kate Coram
Paul McCoy and family
Adam and Cara Weber
I would also like to thank Erika Singler and Sara Martini for starting a formal welcoming committee for those new to the village. See more info later in the VV.
At a meeting last week Brian Hall, Vectren Supervisor over the work in Zionsville, and Josh Bala, Superintendent for Miller Pipeline, were nice enough to attend and field questions regarding the ongoing gas pipeline upgrade. Attached is the contact info for Brian. He is the best contact with any concerns regarding your streets, sidewalks, and overall property.

There is so much going on in December: parties with friends, family and neighbors; seeing the decorations; and shopping the Main Street merchants. I hope to see you all out and about.
Cheers,

The Holidays are Here!
by Beth Bugbee
Get ready, we’re off to a festive start! The season will be kicked off in the Village on Saturday, November 29th. The trolley will be running all day to take you back and forth to all the Village shops. Tell your friends to park at Lions Park to catch the trolley. Please make your holiday purchases in our wonderful shops because it is “Small Business Saturday.”
The afternoon will be packed with fun activities. A horse-drawn carriage will be giving free rides from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Amy Lacy will be reading her Christmas story, “Where is Christmas?” at 4 p.m. at Black Dog Books. Walk over to visit the animals at the petting zoo on Main and east Pine.
Be sure to be on the sidewalk at 5 p.m. to see the parade and you know who-SANTA! We’ve heard he is coming to town. He will help us all light our tree after the parade.
Santa will be back every Saturday (11-4p.m.) and Sunday (noon-3p.m.) through December 21st.
The next Saturday, December 6, is the Carol of Homes Holiday Tour. Six beautifully decorated homes will be available to tour from 10-4p.m. This is not your ordinary home tour. Each home will also be adorned by members of the Zionsville High School show choirs singing their hearts out. If you want to get in the spirit of the season, this is the way to do it. To get tickets, go to zchoirs.com.
You can make this winter a little warmer by visiting the Hope for Heroes collection drive at Akards. Now through December 19th, drop by items or money off to help our American veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the Indianapolis area. If you visit Akards on Wednesday, December 3, you can also get a picture with Santa!
