Hello,
As we move into the fall season the VRA Leadership Team is beginning to plan for next year. We would like to hear your ideas on events, programs or meeting content. We are developing a survey which will be sent to members and we ask that you take a few minutes to fill it out. Your feedback is vital to the VRA being a relevant and contributing organization for Village Residents. The survey will be sent to our email database in November so keep an eye out for it.
In November, as I’m sure we are all aware there is an election and the VRA is hosting two special meetings to allow residents to meet and communicate with the two candidates running for the state legislature for the district that includes the Village. Becky Cash will be available on September 28th and Tiffany Stoner on October 5th. Both meetings will be held at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center and begin at 7:00 PM. All who attend will be able to fill out a form asking questions of the candidates. If time allows, we will also have an open forum for Q&A. Please tell your neighbors about this event. All are welcome.
LINCOLN PARK Update! I have been told by the Parks Department that the ceremony to commemorate the rehab of Lincoln Park will be on November 14th from 2 PM to 3 PM. I hope we can have a great turnout of Village residents for this exciting event!!
Picnic on the Bricks will be the usual grand time on September 19th, and our new Chili Cookoff will take place October 24th. Details on both will be published as we get closer to those events.
Speaking of survey’s, I urge you to take a few minutes to fill out the important survey described below. (This is NOT the VRA survey mentioned above) This survey was put together by a group of community-serving nonprofits (Main Street Zionsville, SullivanMunce Cultural Center, Zionsville Cultural District), local artists, and representatives from Zionsville Community Schools, Zionsville Parks and Recreation and the Town of Zionsville working together to document the arts, culture, and creative resources that already exist in Zionsville and develop a vision and plan for the future.
This effort is about understanding what our community has, identifying opportunities and needs, and creating a thoughtful roadmap that reflects the people who live, work, create, and gather here. We want this plan to be for the community and shaped by the community. Please take a few minutes to share your perspective through this survey and help us understand what matters most to you.
