Saturday, April 16th 10am – noon

Please come lend a hand in the effort to eradicate an invasive species from our lovely parks by attending the 7th Annual VRA Garlic Mustard Pull, Saturday April 16th from 10am to noon at Creekside Park (map). Feel free to come for just an hour or the whole session, or sometime in between.

All you need to bring is a pair of garden gloves to help out. Long pants and sturdy shoes are highly recommended. Trash bags will be provided by the Zionsville Parks Department.

VRA webmaster Ted Schrader will be on hand to describe garlic mustard, its effects on local habitats, how to identify and collect it, and of course help with the pull.

If you’d like to help out, please send a message to Ted at webmaster@zvra.com.

If you’re unable to attend this event then please consider subscribing to the Pull for the Parks email notifications by sending an email to Zionsville’s Park Naturalist Mindy Murdock at naturecenter@zionsville-in.gov. Also keep an eye on the front page of zvra.com for any updates about upcoming community garlic pulls.
