Garlic Mustard Pull – Saturday, April 23 9 a.m.

The interest and participation we have received from individuals and groups in the community has been fantastic this year. To date we have removed more than 30 large garbage bags of garlic mustard from our local parks. But we can still use your help!!!

Can you volunteer an hour or two of your time to help us removed an invasive species from our local parks?

Dress for the weather (we recommend long pants), wear sturdy shoes and bring a pair of garden gloves and join us for the next public garlic mustard pull.

We will meet at Zion Nature Sanctuary, 690 Beech Street at 9 a.m. this Saturday, April 23. The park is adjacent to the Zion Nature Center and Eagle Elementary School.

Mindy will be on hand to describe garlic mustard, its effects on local habitats and help with the plant pull for the first hour. Participants are welcome to continue to pull beyond the first hour.
