Upcoming Events:  

  • Monday, September 28 until further notice:  Zionsville Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice.  Town Staff are rotating working on-site at Town Hall.  Town Hall meeting rooms (including the St. Vincent Community Room) are closed to all public meetings.
  • Monday, September 28:  Lines and Layers: Charm Club Quilts Exhibition at SullivanMunce Cultural Center.  
    • Exhibition has been extended through November 6.  See note below for the virtual exhibit information.
  • Monday, September 28:  Zionsville Fall Brush & Limb Collection starts in the Village this week.  
  • Monday, September 28:  Zionsville Town Council Budget Workshop II meeting at 1:00pm via Zoom.  
  • Monday, September 28:  Zionsville Redevelopment Commission meeting at 6:30pm via Zoom.  
  • Wednesday, September 30:  Mulberry Group Dog Walk from 10:00-11:00am at Mulberry Fields (9645 Whitestown Road, Zionsville).  Group walks are a great opportunity for you and your dog to socialize and gather information about parks and programs.  This year all group dog walks will require registration to attend.  Human participants are limited to 15 people and are required to wear a mask.  
  • Wednesday, September 30:  Community Dialogue with Chief Spears and Zionsville Police Department at 6:30pm at Mulberry Fields (9645 Whitestown Road).  Chief Spears invites the community to gather to discuss matters related to the police department, its interaction with citizens and the topics of diversity, inclusion and racial justice.  Please bring a lawn chair and a mask.  
  • Thursday, October 1:  Zionsville Gateway Area Listening Session from 4:00-8:00pm at Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds – Farm Bureau Community Building (1300 East 100 South, Lebanon).  The Listening Session will be limited to a certain number of volunteers due to social distancing guidelines. Volunteers participating in the session must sign up for a time slot in advance at https://zionsvillegateway.eventbrite.com. Volunteers must wear a mask during the session, maintain social distancing and utilize the hand sanitizer stations. The in-person process will take each person about 40 – 50 minutes to complete. For those unable to attend the session in-person and for those who prefer to participate online, the Listening Session will be available in its entirety virtually.  
  • Thursday, October 1:  Beginning of Silent Auction at Art In Hand Gallery (211 S. Main Street).  This year, the proceeds from the auction will go to support The Arc of Greater Boone County.  The Arc of Greater Boone County exists to assist people with disabilities and special needs to achieve their maximum potential in partnership with the community.  Silent Auction runs through October 31.  
  • Saturday, October 3:  Starkey Park Group Dog Walk from 10:00-11:00am at Starkey Nature Park (667 Sugarbush Drive, Zionsville).   Group walks are a great opportunity for you and your dog to socialize and gather information about parks and programs.  This year all group dog walks will require registration to attend.  Human participants are limited to 15 people and are required to wear a mask.  
  • Saturday, October 3:  St. Alphonsus Liguori and Zionsville Knights of Columbus Family Oktoberfest from 1:00-8:00pm at St. Alphonsus Parish Grounds (1870 W. Oak St.).  Family fun, German food, beers, games, hayrides, free pumpkins, raffle.  
  • Saturday, October 3:  Seasonal Changes from 2:00-3:00pm at Zion Nature Center.  Fall is a great time to get out and explore nature!  Join a Naturalist for a hike through Zion Nature Sanctuary to look for evidence of the changing season through hands-on exploration and activities.  Registration is required for all participants.  


VRA President Confirmation - October 6
The VRA will confirm Heather Lusk as its next President on October 6.  We would like to thank Heather for stepping into the position and look forward to seeing what exciting things she has planned for the organization!  Look for a future email regarding Zoom instructions for the October 6 meeting.

SullivanMunce Cultural Center Virtual Events:
The SullivanMunce Cultural Center has it’s current exhibit, “Lines and Layers: The Charm Club Quilt Exhibition” available as a virtual exhibit if you can’t make it to the museum.  Also, the ever popular Ghost Walk has gone virtual this year due to COVID.  The Virtual Ghost Walk Premiere will be in early October (exact date T.B.D.).  Both are great opportunities to show support for the SullivanMunce Cultural Center from the comfort of your own home.  Keep up to date on the schedule with the links below.
